Best of 2009: 500 Days of Summer

As the year comes to a close, it is only fitting (an editorially lazy) to recap my favorite things of 2009. And there is no better way to start than 500 Days of Summer. Finally a story about love (but not a love story) from the guy's point of view. It's always refreshing when a movie comes along that has an amazing soundtrack (The Smiths! Belle & Sebastian!), clever dialog, and instantly relatable to most men. Certainly the right movie at the right time for me.

Oh, and there is a dance sequence.
